Teaching Experience & Resources
My teaching philosophy centers around mitigating the three barriers to achievement commonly experienced among college students: fear of the subject, disengagement due to disinterest, and skepticism about the generalization of course content to daily life.
Quantitative Methods
Every single day we hear statistics from a variety of sources and, more often than not, they are presented in a misleading manner. The purpose of this course is to provide you with the basic tools you will need to succeed in the behavioral sciences and decipher the truth from “little statistical lies”. While I realize that most students do not choose to take this class, but do so reluctantly as a requirement for their major, I hope to convince you that statistics is understandable, important, and (dare I say) fun.

Quantitative Methods: Hybrid
This course covers the same material as Quantitative Methods, but uses an online-hybrid format. This class is taught using a flipped-classroom design, that is, all lectures are taught online and we meet as a class for "recitation" once a week.

Social Psychology
This course provides students with an overview of research and theory in social psychology. Not only do students learn about interesting, relevant, and timely research findings, they also learn how social psychologists have discovered this evidence. The course emphasizes an understanding of important scientific methods, findings, and principles in the field of social psychology, which it then applies to everyday life and to broader social problems.

Interdisciplinary Social Business Innovation Forum
Through the course, students are introduced to the importance and challenges of global problem-solving in local contexts and to their roles as “Innovation Citizens.” The students investigate some of the essential questions defining human existence in the 21st century in the process of developing their own teams’ “social innovation solutions” to address global challenges as defined by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Research Methods in Social Psychology
This laboratory course explores the methodological and measurement practices commonly employed in social psychological research. These skills are particularly relevant for students wishing to pursue a graduate career in social psychology or other related fields.

General Psychology Recitation
The goal of this recitation class is to foster your overall mastery of the material covered in General Psychology. The recitation class provides a great way for you to “check” your progress in learning the concepts taught in lecture.
